Not your typical hotel, kind of hotel

We're a little different (and we're OK with that)

Hotel meets home

The Winter Park Chateau has been thoughtfully renovated from top to bottom in 2021/2022. Owned by a local Colorado family, the newly reimagined property offers 10 private rooms. All offering a bit of their own unique charm. Fireplaces, a steam shower, soaking tubs, a secret kid cave, fully stocked kitchen, private entrances, a loft…there’s a special feature in each of the fully appointed rooms. Our self-service hotel features a spacious lounge, co-working area, community hot tub, gazebo and a rentable gourmet kitchen. Each of our rooms and spaces are named after local wildlife.

Before you book your stay

Your experience and stay will be self-service. We will have your room ready for you upon check in and special requests should be communicated prior to arrival. We have three-levels and stairs are likely going to be required to access your room. One room (Moose) is located on the ground level. Four rooms on the second floor have private decks and access from the back of the building with a few stairs. Rooms on the third floor are accessible via the grand stairway from the main entrance of the hotel.

You may also want to know: if you've stayed here prior to 2022, we no longer serve breakfast; we are next to a train that says hello as it passes by; wildlife need to stay wild and shouldn't be fed or in your vacay selfies; the weather can change quickly, but it keeps things interesting, so plan accordingly; and you will likely arrive by traversing a mountain pass, which we do not recommend for inexperienced drivers or unfit vehicles.

We are not perfect, but we like to think we are perfectly imperfect.
