Stairs:
We have three-levels and stairs are likely going to be required to access your room. One room (Moose) is located on the ground level. Four rooms on the second floor have private decks and access from the back of the building with minimal stairs. Rooms on the third floor are accessible via the grand stairway from the main entrance of the hotel.

Parking

We have parking for each room that is limited to one vehicle. Spaces are in both the front and behind the building. We are situated on a hill, which makes our views stunning, but also given the road conditions that accompany the climate at this elevation, please ensure your vehicle can safely traverse not only the roads but an inclined driveway into our property. This is mostly relevant if you’re visiting during snowy conditions.

Parking enhancements are on the management's future improvement plans.

After Hour Emergencies

Pet Policy

For an additional fee, all rooms with private access from the back of the building are dog-friendly. This will be noted in the room description, but room names are also provided below. Advance notice of dogs on reservation is required. Only well-tempered and mannered dogs are welcome. Must be potty trained and house broken. Dogs who like to bark will disturb other guests and as a result, will not be allowed. We require you to clean up after your pet. Wildlife is abundant in this area, not to mention the train, so please keep your pet safe by using a leash.

The Winter Park Chateau has 4 dog-friendly rooms:
Bison
Fox
Snowshoe Hare
Marmot

All of these rooms have exterior access, so this makes it easy for furry friends when they need some “outside” time. When checking in with a pet please be sure to add the “Furry Friend Add-on” at time of reservation. Dogs are not allowed to access the main hotel including common areas or main entrance and grand stairway. Please use your dedicated room entrance/exit in the back of the hotel.

We can only permit one small to medium sized dog per room. A $250 deposit will be required. Please note due to extra routine cleaning $50 will be nonrefundable. We want to accommodate dogs, but will charge excessive cleaning fees if damage is caused starting from $500+. We don’t want to charge you, so please be a responsible pet parent!

Extra Supplies + Plunger

There is a plunger supplied for each room.

Looking for extra coffee, tea or hot cocoa pods? Please text us and we can either deliver them or provide the access code into the supplies closet located on Floor 2.

Ski Boots Must Be Removed

Ski boots must be removed before entering the main interior of the Chateau. Guests will be charged a fee of $250+ if damage is caused due to wearing ski boots inside their room or anywhere in the building. We don’t want to charge you, we don’t want our floors damaged, so please take your ski boots off first before entering.

Be a courteous guest

Please be kind. We take pride in our property. From the room you rent, to the common areas, please be respectful and note that any excessive cleaning will incur a $250+ fee. This is easily avoided if you make responsible decisions during your stay.

Absolutely no smoking of any kind on the property. No animals outside of dog-friendly rooms including common areas in the hotel. No ski boots beyond the entry of the hotel. No parties allowed.

Climate

The Chateau is like most other properties in the mountains and we do not have air conditioning. The nights cool down and we suggest opening a window at least for a little while before bed to cool down the rooms. You’ll also have a fan which will help with air movement.

Our heating system uses baseboard heaters. These heaters can cause a fire. Please keep all items away from baseboard heating units in your room and throughout the building.

The outside weather can change quickly, so be prepared and monitor conditions. Jackets are helpful even during the summer.
